UPLAO Foundation was founded with the purpose to provide local communities in Uplands of Northern Laos, a sustainable path in Agriculture, Ecotourism and Glocalization. To provide sustainable alternatives that provide a diverse and stable economic foundation for years to come. Helping equip and teach local farmers, leaders and communities in new methods, ideas and markets in a globalized world.
Better use of land and resources
We help promote sustainable farming menthods and management technqieue while introducing new divese crops. These include coffee, banana, persimmon, avocado, macadamia and cardamom - each offering a new source of income and stability for years to come.
Protecting Nature while visiting
We look to provide ecotourism options across all of our projects sites and communities. This allows for a sustainable and educational visit for international visitors, educators and supporters. Helping local communities share their culture and nature while protecting it.
Bring diverse products to a global audience
We want to help promote local opportunities fitted for an international market. Project include handicrafts, honey and other local products that can be marketed towards an international audience, allowing locals to take ownership and pride of their craft.
